About the Company

Theatre for the Rest of Us

To Do Productions was a labor of love by producer Donald "Donnie Jay" James who, with Artistic Director Glenn Meche and a group of multi-talented theatre artists, strove to bring serious gay-related theatre to the New Orleans and Gulf Coast Communities.

To Do Productions had its debut at the Marigny Theatre in 2005 with the New Orleans premiere of Doric Wilson's "Street Theatre". That run ended on schedule just prior to our evacuation from the city in the face of Hurricane Katrina.

We subsequently returned and resumed our place in the vanguard of New Orleans' revitalized theatre community.

Sadly, on the morning of April 16, 2009, Donnie Jay passed away from a long illness. This site is now a part of his legacy.

We hope you find your visit to our website enjoyable and informative.
